About Me.
Born and educated in Devonport on the North West Coast of the island state of Tasmania, Australia. This small coastal town is lapped by waves from the Bass Strait and this was the introduction to my love of the ocean. I would spend countless hours on, in or by the water —-
It was during my teenage years in Devonport that I developed my passion for photography and purchased my very first camera, a Canon FTb 35mm film camera and a couple of tamron lenses. During this phase I produced snap shots at best.
Over the years I have advanced with technology, my understanding and my own level of maturity to where I now take photos that please me.
Photography is more than the just taking the one in a life time shot, it is the means of expressing my creative perspective of life on earth. Beyond that it is my release from the stresses of every day life.
When my eye is to the viewfinder everything else happening in the world becomes obsolete; my thoughts, my worries, my depression is gone. It’s my meditation, my mindfulness, it is the moment where I am truly focused and at one with my environment.
Without a camera to record my observation I am a lost soul.
